Google Review Link for Salons

A Google review link for a salon belongs where the client is already holding a phone: at the chair, at the desk, and in the text that goes out the same day.

Paste a Maps link, a maps.app.goo.gl share link, or a Place ID that starts with ChIJ.

Used on the counter card and in the message templates.

Review link

Paste a link or Place ID to build the review link, QR code, and counter card. This page does not use a Google API key.

Ask every customer

Copy one message and send that same link to everyone. These templates do not split happy and unhappy customers, and they do not offer a discount or gift.

Add a Place ID to fill the link into the message.

Send the same request to every customer. Do not offer a discount, gift, or other reward for a review, and do not ask only the people who say they were happy. Google's review policy prohibits compensation for reviews. The FTC rule on fake reviews (16 CFR Part 465) also bans buying reviews and other deceptive review practices.

Leave your email and we'll write when automatic requests are ready. The link generator on this page stays free.

Where to put the QR code

Print the QR code on the appointment card and stand a copy at the front desk, next to the card reader. A small code in the corner of the station mirror works if it does not cover the glass the client is using.

When to ask

Do not ask in the middle of a color service. Ask at checkout, after the client has seen the result, and send the link again that afternoon in the same thread as the appointment reminder. Ask every client who finished a visit, not only the ones who smiled. The sentence should say honest. Do not trade a free gloss, a percent off the next color, or a product sample for a star rating. Paying for a review is restricted by Google's contribution policy and the FTC rule on fake reviews.

Sample ask

Sample message: "Hi, this is Linden Salon. Thank you for coming in today. If you have a minute, an honest Google review helps someone else choose a stylist." Put the review link on the next line.

Use the same Place ID on the website footer, the email receipt, and every chair. Color, cut, and barber chairs in one shop share one link. A second address needs its own Google listing and its own code.

Other businesses

Any Place ID works in the Google review link generator.

Frequently asked questions

Where should a salon put a Google review QR code?

Print it on the appointment card and keep a standing card at the front desk beside the card reader. A small code in the corner of the station mirror is fine if it does not cover the glass.

When should a stylist ask for a Google review?

Ask at checkout, after the client has seen the haircut or color, and send the same link that afternoon. Do not ask in the middle of a chemical service.

Can a salon offer a discount for a Google review?

No. A percent off, a free gloss, or a product sample in exchange for a review is compensation. Ask every client for an honest review and send the same link to all of them.

Do color and cut appointments need different review links?

No. Chairs in one shop share one Place ID. A second address needs its own Google listing and its own code.
