Google Review Link for Plumbers and HVAC

A Google review link for plumbers and HVAC crews has to work in a driveway. The customer is standing next to the van when the job ends, and that is the moment to ask.

Paste a Maps link, a maps.app.goo.gl share link, or a Place ID that starts with ChIJ.

Used on the counter card and in the message templates.

Review link

Paste a link or Place ID to build the review link, QR code, and counter card. This page does not use a Google API key.

Ask every customer

Copy one message and send that same link to everyone. These templates do not split happy and unhappy customers, and they do not offer a discount or gift.

Add a Place ID to fill the link into the message.

Send the same request to every customer. Do not offer a discount, gift, or other reward for a review, and do not ask only the people who say they were happy. Google's review policy prohibits compensation for reviews. The FTC rule on fake reviews (16 CFR Part 465) also bans buying reviews and other deceptive review practices.

Leave your email and we'll write when automatic requests are ready. The link generator on this page stays free.

Where to put the QR code

Put the QR code on the invoice they sign and on the rear door of the work van, about chest height, where a phone can see it in daylight. Keep a stack of cards in the passenger door so the tech can hand one over with the paperwork. After a furnace, water heater, or condenser install, leave a card on the equipment for the next service visit. Do not cover the data plate or a safety label.

When to ask

Ask before you leave the driveway, while the heat, the air, or the faucet is the proof. If the person who pays the bill was at work, send the same link that afternoon. Use one link for every job, including callbacks and warranty visits. Asking only after the easy jobs hides the reviews you most need to answer.

Sample ask

Sample text: "Hi, this is Northside Plumbing. The repair is finished. If you have a minute, an honest Google review of the visit helps your neighbors." Paste the review link at the end.

Do not offer a discount on the next tune-up in exchange for stars. One Place ID covers the company. A second code is only for a separate brand, or a second town that has its own Google listing.

Other businesses

Any Place ID works in the Google review link generator.

Frequently asked questions

Where should plumbers and HVAC techs put a review QR code?

Print it on the invoice and on the rear door of the van at about chest height. Keep cards in the truck to hand over with the paperwork. A card on new equipment helps the next service visit. Do not cover the data plate.

When should a tech ask for a Google review?

Ask before leaving the driveway, while the repair is still in front of the customer. If the person who pays was not home, send the same link that afternoon.

Can I discount the next tune-up for a Google review?

No. A discount, gift, or other reward for a review violates Google's contribution policy and the FTC rule on fake reviews. Ask for an honest review on every job, including callbacks.

Do plumbing and HVAC need separate Google review links?

Use one link when both trades share one Google listing. Create a second code only for a separate brand or a town with its own listing.
