Dice Roller: Roll d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100
A browser dice roller for tabletop games and classrooms. Pick dice or type notation like 3d6+2, roll with advantage or disadvantage, and see each die plus the total. Uses the browser's crypto random generator.
How to use
- Pick d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100, then set how many dice to roll and an optional modifier.
- Or type notation such as 2d6+3. That is two six-sided dice plus 3.
- For a d20, choose advantage (keep the higher of two) or disadvantage (keep the lower).
- Roll. Each die is listed, dropped dice are marked, and the total includes the modifier. A short history stays on this page.
How it works
A die with N faces returns an integer from 1 through N. crypto.getRandomValues supplies a 32-bit value, and leftovers that would make some faces more likely are rejected and drawn again. The total is the sum of the kept dice plus the modifier. Notation NdS+M means N dice of S sides, then add M. Advantage rolls two d20s and keeps the higher. Disadvantage keeps the lower.
Example. 2d6+3 rolls two six-sided dice and adds 3. A roll of 4 and 5 totals 12. Advantage on 1d20+5 with a 14 and a 7 keeps 14, so the total is 19.
Frequently asked questions
Is this dice roller random?
Yes. It uses the browser's cryptographic random number generator, so each face has an equal chance.
What does 2d6+3 mean?
Roll two six-sided dice, add them, then add 3.
How do advantage and disadvantage work?
Roll two d20s and keep the higher one for advantage or the lower one for disadvantage.
Can I roll a d100?
Yes. Choose d100 or roll two d10s as tens and ones.
Does it save my rolls?
It keeps a short history on this page only. Nothing is uploaded.
